welcome to the 12th Annual Setting Sun International Film Festival, the premier film festival in Melbourne’s West. 

We are delighted to be delivering yet another culturally diverse festival that highlights everything that we believe in with a dense program of physical and online events. Take your time reading through our calendar. Highlights include a Greek and Cypriot language programme with films from the Athens short film festival and our annual female filmmakers’ programme presented in partnership with the Women in Film and TV (Vic). We are also screening a series of films made by local Melbourne and emerging filmmakers at Bluestone Church Arts Space.

We have programmed an exciting, selection of online programmes screening at ACMI.

Every year we look forward to our Opening Night at the gorgeous Sun Theatre. We have a great selection of award-winning films to entertain you. Book a ticket and come to a session. I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible.
