Twilight Movies Under The Stars

 DUSKY SUN PROGRAM

We are proud to be part of this year’s Maribyrnong Council’s Twilight Movies Under The Stars series by providing a 10 minute program to screen before each main movie. The films were chosen because they were made by local kids or highlighted the west. Screenings start approximately 8:30pm, before the main movie. Bring a rug, friends, a picnic hamper and enjoy. 

2 DECEMBER, JOHNSON RESERVE, MAIDSTONE. The Grinch

  • Millennium Man. Dir.  Andrew Robb. A doco about an odd and iconic statue in a Sunshine carpark.
  • Love For The Board. Dir. Oliver Veljanovski, Strummer Cullip-Bartlett & Eaman Mahmoud, Footscray City College.  A doco of about the love skate boarding.
  • Lisa’s Ribbon, Grade 5 and 6 Yarraville West Primary SchoolA claymation about Lisa, a black and white girl living in a colored world.

16 DECEMBER, SKINNER RESERVE BRAYBROOK Home Alone

  • Road to the Grand Final. Dir. Mark Hellinger, Jesse Maskell. A group of intellectually disabled football players aim for the grand final.
  • The Sun Came. Grade 5 and 6 Yarraville West Primary SchoolOnce on earth there was no light. The world was covered in darkness. A special child was born and everything changed.

13 JANUARY, HANSEN RESERVE WEST FOOTSCRAY Inside Out

  • Return The Fall. Dir. Andrew C. Formosa. An animation about a young woman who must evade a shadowy, mysterious entity in the forest.
  • Doug The Barber. Dir. Dan Farmer, Amelia Smith. A doco about well known Yarraville identity, Doug.

20 JANUARY, YARRAVILLE GARDENS Kung Fu Panda 3

  • Lost Future. Dir. Nick Mahady. Animation by a high school student about a man reminiscing about his youth.
  • Standers. Dir. Anthony Dillon. Mockumentary about a group of Standers.
